And oh, by the way, I still got those rocks from mt Baru. Powderising in mah waist pouch. Don't wanna get those black fingers like mah black toes in slipper wear and the half an hour of intense skin abrasion to turn my feet from volcanic soil to normal human feet.

Rinjani was great. We should do Korbu guys. It will be fun mon. What's more, we got slave labour. hey hey. I book 5 year ones guys at least. My tent. I got a water bed here.

Leeches are great for blood circulation. They remove bad blood, heatiness, prevent stroke, hepatitis B, pneumonia and even heart attacks. They're able to inject antibodies into your body which will be able to immunise against aids. Okay fine I'm lying, well. At least feed those poor starving wriggly creatures? Do something humanitarian for once will you guys? Before I put one in your pants.

And also, a very memorable experience too, just like Rinjani. Or nothing at all.

eh hello .hey there. i really think year end expedition was a blast. at least it was for me.
probably one of my best overseas trips.

The trek was undeniably tough and challenging, but amidst the challenges, what touched me most was most probably the care and concern, the warmth , the selflessness and probably pure sincerity as well.

I guess during evaluation, it doesnt seem like there is much stuff coursing through our minds and its usually after the incident that we usually look back and think of what has happened and the many good points and all.

After this Rinjani trip, 1 thing for sure was that i did feel something. Be it the locals there, the team, the trees, the scenery, I just know that it is a very sweet and pleasant feeling. Probably a bit hard to put it down in words, but I probably want to reminisce this sweet feeling once more for as long as possible.

Guess Ive been crapping so far, but 1 thing I wanna say is a big THANK YOU to you guys. there were times when I was pissed, angry, frustrated, pms-y, but at least one of you were there for me, something which I am indeed really grateful.

I guess this trip taught me much about myself, people around me, interpersonal relationships, crisis managements and all. Since OAC is a learning journey, what I can truly tell myself now is that this yearend trip really made me grow and got me to look more into myself as a person, and also learning more about very single 1 of you .

Few years down the road, I might go back and climb Mount Rinjani all over again. One thing for sure, the feeling would be different, for the company , guides, porters, itinery, weather conditions will all be different. 8 days for me on the mountains seemed really long , but thinking back now, it is probably one of the best moments I have had in my life. And all could not be achieved with myself on the peaks alone.

Most importantly, Thank you guys for going through it with me and I hope with future events and expeditions, we can all grow and learn altogether again. It will never be an experience ill ever forget.

hey there.
eh for tmr's precision orienteering session, be at the sports com in your pt kit at 8am. don't be late. bring water bottle, scientific calculator (serious. you'll need it) , pen and paper.
will end in the afternoon. around 4pm. haha. again depends on how fast we finish everything yeah. so yups. haha.. don't worry. just go relearn precision =) oh. plus your entire math syllabus. haha.. know it's holidays already.. but still... haha... kidding. have fun. cya tmr...

Following the recent Bali Bombings, concerns by parents may be expressed in fear of a terrorist prevalence in Indonesia.

Lombok is an island located to the east of Bali and it is largely less developed as compared to it's counterpart.
Tourism is still a fledging economy on the island but is growing.

The Indonesian Lombok authorities have responded accordingly to the incident:

Anticipating the suspects/terorr actor of the Bali Bomb escapes from Bali, all the gates and exit points in Lombok has been extra guarded.

2/3 personnel of Lombok Police Department (POLDA NTB) has been instructed all-out to inspect all type of vehicles entering Lombok by ferry from Bali.

kayaking kraze

The PE Department has acceded to OAC's request of Kayaking Kraze 2005 be part of the PE Electives currently offered to all Year One students Plans for the Kayaking Elective remain relatively unchanged from the original Kayaking Kraze, but we would seek everyone's understanding regarding the matter of manpower allocation.

the number of kayaks available at Bedok Resovoir is limited, and this has placed severe constraints on the functioning of the event. Only four places will be available to instructors per shift, and therefore, going by the current plan, only eight instructors will be selected to teach. We sincerely hope that in the event you are not picked, you will not take it as an affront to your kayaking abilities and recognise each and everyone of you possess within you real and equal ability at Kayaking. The selection will be random and not based on personal preference or choice on the ICs' part.
